Platin Audio Milan WiSA Wireless 5.1-Channel Surround Sound System
The $899.00 MSRP Platin Milan [available at AMAZON] 5.1-channel home theater system with WiSA SoundSend is the most affordable all-in-one WiSA Certified wireless surround sound system which can be connected to ANY smart television that supports HDMI ARC or eARC. What this means for you, if you choose to do so (and have the extra AC power outlets available), is that you can easily upgrade from 5.1 channels to 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos or even 7.1 simply by purchasing and integrating an extra pair of optional WiSA Certified speakers!!
The Platin Milan package is the only system showcased on this website which includes five identical satellite speakers, so you get perfect voice-matching side-to-side and front-to-back! The center channel speaker can sit either horizontally or vertically. Each compact two-way speaker measures just 5.9″ in height and 4.3″ in width. There is a mounting hole/thread on back if you choose to separately purchase optional mounting hardware to attach any of the satellites to the wall. To take care of the bass, you get the exact same sub that’s included with the step-up Platin Monaco package, a low-profile, downward-firing, side-ported powered subwoofer with a 6.5″ driver which measures just 5.3″ in height.
The included disc-shaped WiSA SoundSend wireless transmitter resembling a slightly-oversized ice hockey puck measures a mere 4.3″ in diameter and is only 1.1″ in height, so it is easy to “hide”. An HDMI cable is included to connect it to the HDMI ARC or eARC input on back of your smart TV. Activate the HDMI-CEC feature in your TV’s menu and your television’s remote should be able to control basic system functions such as power, volume, and mute. (The SoundSend also has a digital optical audio input.)
Surround decoding capabilities include Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Digital, and if your smart television has eARC, you can enjoy lossless Dolby TrueHD and 3.1.2 Dolby Atmos. Unfortunately, DTS is NOT supported! Advanced system setup and adjusting settings requires that you connect your smartphone to your SoundSend with Bluetooth and use the WiSA SoundSend mobile app.
7 total AC power outlets are required — one to plug in the SoundSend wireless transmitter, five for the speakers, and one for the subwoofer.
