First of all, there is currently no such thing as a 100% "wireless" home theater system. Even the audiophile-grade Aperion Intimus 4T Summit Wireless 7.1 and 5.1 system require that the seven or five speakers, plus the subwoofer and the wireless transmitter, each be plugged into an AC outlet for power.
If you don't require that ALL of the speakers be wireless, consider one of the home theater systems with wireless rear speakers that are on the market. These are ideal for anyone who wants to experience true surround sound (instead of virtual surround) without the worry about running wires from the front to the back of the room to set up rear surround effects.
You can buy integrated 3D-ready Blu-ray Disc player home theater in a box with wireless rear speakers and two HDMI inputs from LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony.
Each of these systems require that you plug an included rear-wireless amplifier module into an AC outlet to actually power your two rear surround speakers. The other speakers are all wired to the Blu-ray/receiver unit. |
