Sharp HT-SB600 The $350 Sharp HT-SB600 soundbar with subwoofer virtual surround sound system pictured to the left is ideal for someone who wants to experience much of the excitement of a "conventional" surround sound audio system without the need to fish wires to rear surround speakers -- because there aren't any!
The Sharp HTSB600 includes a long sound bar speaker that measures just over 36 inches wide, is less than 4 inches high and deep, and packs three 2½" full-range drivers for the left, center, and right channels, and bass effects are provided by the compact subwoofer.
The main unit performs Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Virtual Speaker surround decoding and houses the amplification and all of the inputs and outputs, including three 3D-ready HDMI repeater inputs and an HDMI output with Audio Return Channel. Other inputs include one optical digital audio input and one coaxial digital audio input, one analog stereo RCA input, and one 3.5mm stereo mini jack. It's also got an AM/FM radio tuner and a remote control that takes 2 AAA batteries (NOT included). |
