Each of the 3D Blu-ray 5.1 speaker home theater in a box systems featured in the above carousel can "go online" either wirelessly via Wi-Fi and/or connect with an Ethernet cable to your home network router to access a wide and ever-expanding selection of streaming and Internet enabled audio/video entertainment, including Netflix movies and television episodes on demand, and Pandora Internet radio, not to mention the bonus BD-Live content that's available for Blu-ray movies.

Each of these Blu-ray HTIB systems also feature a slim Blu-ray/home theater receiver combo with two HDMI inputs for connecting separate OPTIONAL A/V equipment such as a satellite or cable HDTV tuner and/or video game console. Be sure to keep some room in your home theater budget to buy any HDMI cables that you will need to connect components to the Blu-ray/receiver, and/or run out to your high definition television or home theater projector so you get up to Full HD 1080p video.

Samsung HT-D6730W The heart of the $800 Samsung HT-D6730W Blu-ray 3D home theater system in a box pictured to the left is an integrated 3D-capable Blu-ray Disc player/receiver (two HDMI 1.4 inputs and HDMI output with audio return channel) combo which can even up-convert 2D movies to 3D, and also play DVD movies and music CDs. Of course, to experience 3D, you'll also need a 3D-capable high definition TV or video projector, HDMI cable, some 3D active shutter glasses, and at least one 3D Blu-ray movie to get you going.

Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to access digital content such as movies from Netflix and Blockbuster, TV shows from Hulu Plus, videos from YouTube, music from Pandora, and social updates from Facebook and Twitter.

The "7.1 channels from 5.1 speakers" design means that the front tower speakers feature the drivers for the left and right channels a swivel speaker near the top of each for front-height Vertical Surround effects. "Wireless" rear surround speakers (you will need access to an additional AC outlet in the back of the room for powering the rear speakers) make it easier to set up rear surrounds without the worry of even more wiring.
